Update...man it's been fOOOREVER!

A lot has happened since the last blog (I know right it's been a LONG time). Mitch is home from Iraq as most of you know he returned to Volk Field-Wisconsin on Monday January 19th around 1-2pm. Mitchell's parents and I drove down to Volk Field to watch his plane land. His mom made some signs for Mitchell and all the solders...it was cute.
As the soldiers plane was getting closer one of the commander filled us in saying the plane is about 20 minuets away, as he signed off he mentioned "Don't Mug Your Solider" a couple of times...ha (how did he know that's what I had in store for Mitch :) As Mitch's plane landed (sorry if I get the terminology wrong) two flightier Jets soared over in Recognition of the Bravo & Delta troops welcome home. It took forever for the soldiers to pile out in order of their company's. Mitchell's parents and I were very cold awaiting very patiently to spot him out of the millions of green blobs on the runway. It was very funny watching the soldiers remember what its like in Wisconsin this time of the year slipping and sliding every where some did fall on their tooch.
We finally spotted Mitch he was seriously one of the last people to get off the plane...but we are glad he is home and safe. We got to spend about and hour and a half with him before they transported them to Fort McCoy for their 5 day briefs. Here are some pictures from Volk Field:

Band that played music while we waited.

Above: sign his parents made.

The soldiers coming out

Just the begining of them

there he is...last but not least :)

Proud Father

Proud parents

More posts to come later this week...too much to catch up on in one post!

Love,
Mitchell & Jamie
